Cleanability is an underrated selling point. A bed that cannot be cleaned becomes a return, a one-star review, and a customer who never reorders. Here is what to build into your product from the start.
The three cleanability questions
First: is the cover removable? A zip-off cover is the single biggest driver of fewer returns. Second: is it machine washable, and at what temperature? Third: can the inner cushion handle a wash, or must it be spot-cleaned? Write these on the product page — they are purchase triggers, not afterthoughts.
What reviewers actually complain about
Across most bedding listings, the recurring complaints are shedding, flattening and a cover that cannot go in the machine. You preempt all three by choosing materials that hold their shape and by specifying a removable cover. This is a spec-sheet conversation before production, not a listing edit afterward.
Factory and listing alignment
When we quote, the spec sheet states the cover and cushion construction. Your cleaning instructions on the listing then match the product. Browse the types on product categories; customization options are on OEM/ODM.
